I started CrossFit in 2011 as a way to stay busy and lose a little weight while my husband was deployed. I was instantly hooked on the community and support provided but ended up taking a break from CrossFit in 2013. In December 2016, at 6 months postpartum and extremely overweight, I knew needed a change. I decided to return to what I knew worked, I joined Crossfit Fontana and haven’t looked back since. My journey was initially about losing the weight, but over time the focus shifted to what new skill I could master. I focused on my small successes and overtime have seen great gains in my accuracy, agility, balance, coordination, endurance, flexibility, power, speed, stamina, and strength. Fitness has become a passion and one that I enjoy sharing with others.
